My handwriting

The JULIAN at the top of my site is my actual handwriting. I wrote every letter on a sheet of paper, took a photo, and built a font from it with Claude.

  1. On paper

Every capital, digit and symbol I wanted, written in rows on one sheet: 54 characters.

  2. Finding the ink

The photo becomes pure black and white, and each mark is found as its own shape. Dots stay with their letters, so ! and ? come out whole.

  3. Tracing

Each character is traced from pixels into smooth vector outlines, wobbles and all.

  4. Into a font

The outlines are scaled to one cap height and packed into julian.otf, the file you're reading now.

HOLA

Capitals, numbers and a few symbols: that's everything I wrote down.
